Hibernate executeupdate not updating validating forms in perl
Today we will look into Session important methods for saving and updating data in tables – save, save Or Update, persist, update and merge.
As the method name suggests, hibernate save() can be used to save entity to database.
(See Appendix A for a comprehensive list of configuration properties.) All pooling is entirely transparent to users once a Data Source has been created.
Hibernate created a new language named Hibernate Query Language (HQL), the syntax is quite similar to database SQL language.I resorted to making HQL calls for each field: session.create Query("update Role set name = '" Name() "' where id = " ID()).execute Update(); session.create Query("update Role set description = '" Description() "' where id = " ID()).execute Update(); HOWEVER, when it came to the map in the Role object I tried to make sql calls to save the relationships and of course I reliazed execute Update for create SQLQuery was not supported. So Im not sure how to save back the mapping to the database at this point since hibernate refused to do it on its own.Its loads the roles fine, and save Or Update works fine for other objects, im not sure why it doesn't for this particular class. Thanks for the response, yes I thought that might be the problem and I called flush with no success.Driver" ); //loads the jdbc driver Jdbc Url( "jdbc:postgresql://localhost/testdb" ); User("dbuser"); Password("dbpassword"); Do whatever you want with your Data Source, which will be backed by a Connection pool set up with default parameters. You can bind the Data Source to a JNDI name service, or use it directly, as you prefer.
